Renowned Egypt actress Maha Abou Ouf would have been celebrating her 66th birthday today. Unfortunately, the Arab showbiz world lost the legendary star on January 6, 2022.

Abou Ouf's contribution to the Arab film and television industry has been massive and her illustrious career boasted of several major projects.

Abou Ouf, who was born on 5 May 1956, made her showbiz debut as part of a band that she formed with her brother Ezzat Abou Ouf, and three sisters, Mervat, May, and Manal.

Apart from her singing prowess, she had also carved a name for herself as one of the most talented actresses of all time.

Throughout her outstanding career, she featured in many successful television shows like ‘Sayyedat El-Fondok’ (‘The Lady of the Hotel’), ‘El-Ragol El-Aakhar’ (‘The Other Man’), and the popular sitcom ‘Raagel Wi 6 Settaat’ (‘A Man and Six Women’).

The pretty actress is also well known for her seminal films, such as ‘Ana La Aktheb Wa Lakenny Atagammal’ (I Don’t Lie, I Beautify), ‘Matloub Hayyan Aw Mayyetan’ (Wanted Dead or Alive), ‘Ahla El-Aw’aat’ (The Best Moments) and ‘Maalesh Ehna Benetbahdel’ (We Are Being Tarnished).

As the Arab world remembers the great star on her birth anniversary, Sada Elbled English (SEE) takes a look at her stunning career and revisits some of her most iconic screen appearances.

Fares Bel Gwad

Actually, we bet the first one that crosses your mind will be her role as Princess Margaret in 'Fares Blagwad Series' starring Mohamed Sobhi.

The show also starred Simon, Gamil Ratib and Hanaa El-Shourbgy and became one of the most loved television shows.

Ragel W 6 Settaat (Raagel Wi 6 Settaat)

The late actress starred in the famed sitcom from 2006-2015. On A Man and Six Women, the remarkable actress starred alongside Ashraf Abdel Baky in the role of Magida, Lekaa Elkhamissi's mother. Compared to her other roles that won our hearts and were more in the dramatic genre, Abou Ouf's role on this sitcom was a comic one.
