El-Gouna forward Ahmed Yasser Rayan has apologized to Egyptian people and Zamalek fans on Tuesday.

A clash erupted between Rayan and the Whites' defender Mahmoud Alaa during their encounter in the Egyptian League. Zamalek held a 2-2 draw with El-Gouna on Sunday losing two valuable points.

"I am sorry for the Egyptian people and Zamalek fans. My outrage was out of great enthusiasm," he said on his official page twitter.

Al Ahly is leading the league with 74 points. The Red Devils need to secure the victory against Al Mokawilon (Arab Contractors) on Wednesday, July 24 to claim the title.

While the White Knights hope that Al Ahly would stumble when facing Al Mokawilon in Wednesday's match to boost their chance in winning the title. If this happens, the title winner will be decided during their derby on Sunday, July 28.
