Egyptian authorities are opening the Rafah crossing, “exceptionally”, for the 25th consecutive day, to facilitate the travel and return of Palestinian citizens to and from the Gaza Strip, in addition to receiving the wounded people coming from the Gaza Strip, and bringing aids into the Strip.

Earlier, Egypt sent a convoy of engineers and building equipment to Gaza to begin the reconstruction process after the recent Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Egypt has been opening the crossing on an exceptional basis from time to time, to enable the travel of numbers of Palestinians, especially humanitarian cases.

The Rafah crossing is the only gate for the residents of the Gaza Strip, numbering around two million, to the outside world.

Noteworthy, the Palestinian ambassador to Egypt Diab al-Louh thanked Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and concerned officials for their sincere and tireless efforts in reducing the burdens of Palestinian people.
