Qatar's Non-oil Exports Falls 23.6%

DOHA, Feb. 23(SEE)- Qatar's non-oil exports declined by 23.6 percent last January to record QAR 1.6 billion, compared to QAR 2.1 billion in the corresponding month a year earlier.

Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry indicated that Oman was the biggest recipient of Qatari non-oil exports out of 55 other global markets. Oman imported 39 percent of the total value of non-oil exports amounting for QAR 626 million last month.

Turkey came in second place with total imports of QAR 131 million.

Aluminum topped the list of goods exported by Qatar at a value of QAR 385 million, accounting for 24 percent of the total value of non-oil exports in January 2019.
