Qatar Begins IHF World Cup Journey with Win over Angola (35-25)

Qatari achieved a precious 30-25 victory over its Angolan counterpart, within the framework of the third group competitions of the World Cup Egypt 2021, in the match that was held between them this afternoon at the Burj Al Arab hall in Alexandria.

The match went through a strong start from the Angola national team, which was translated by taking the lead during most of the first half, before Qatar succeeded in advancing for the first time a minute and a half before the first half, to end this period in his favor with a score of 14-13.

Al-Annabi continued their superiority in the second half, before Angola reduced the gap to one goal at the score 17-16, so that Spain's Valero Rivera, Qatar coach, requested a time-out to arrange his cards again.

The Qatari national team took advantage of this time and widened the difference with its Angolan counterpart to 4 goals at 20-16, 20 minutes before the end of the match.

Qatar continued to control the remaining time of the match, ending the match in its favor with a score of 30-25.

Qatar national team player Ahmed Mada won the best player award in the match, as he scored 8 goals out of 9 shots during the match.
