Peskov said in a statement to reporters that the Russian-American summit today will not be broadcast live; it is planned that the first footage of the meeting, which will be held via video, will be shown, and after that, the meeting of the two leaders will be closed.

Answering a question about what time the talks are expected to start, Peskov said: "Around 6 pm (Moscow time)," adding: "We believe that this will be a comprehensive and sufficiently lengthy video conference, and it will be a conference by secure video communication.

Peskov  also commented on the topic of the participation of delegations of other countries at the summit, as saying that  in this regard the summit will be a direct conversation between the two presidents, and I cannot say who will be on the side of President Biden.”

He added that Putin, before all-important negotiations, “communicates with the relevant ministers and heads of departments.”

On the issues that will be discussed at this summit, Peskov said that Putin and Biden will discuss tensions over Ukraine, the progress of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization ( NATO)  to the borders of the Russian Federation, and the Russian leader's initiative on security guarantees.

Peskov went on to say that  it will be necessary to discuss how to implement the understandings reached in Geneva, and move forward  because security guarantees  that require  additional efforts  and of course, bilateral relations that are still in a sorry state."

The Kremlin spokesman stressed that security guarantees cannot be unilateral, and that "the guarantees can only be reciprocal," noting that "President Putin is a politician who insists that bilateral relations be of just and respectful nature.
