"Psych 3: This Is Gus" Gets Release Date, First Trailer

Peacock released the first trailer for the upcoming movie "Psych 3: This Is Gus".

The streaming service also revealed that the spin-off of the popular comedy series will premiere on Peacock on November 18.

"Psych 3: This Is Gus" featured the return of the "psychic" detective team Shawn Spencer (James Roday Rodriguez) and Burton "Gus" Guster (Dulé Hill), who are dealing with the "most personal case yet."

The footage also showcased Gus preparing himself for a shotgun wedding before the birth of his child and learning that his fiancée Selene(Jazmyn Simon) is living a secret double life.

As the duo tries to piece together who Selene is and how it relates to a gun they found, head detective Carlton "Lassie" Lassiter (Timothy Omundson), attempts to figure out what is next for his career after the events of the previous film, 2020's "Psych 2: Lassie Come Home".

"Psych" was first premiered as a TV series in 2006 and centered around Spencer who with the help of Gus, is able to solve cases with such an acute skill in the observation that he was able to convince the Santa Barbara PD that he was actually a psychic.

The series ran for 8 seasons and wrapped in 2014 before being spun off into the movie "Psych: The Movie" in 2017.

It was created by writer, director, and executive producer Steve Franks. Rodriguez also co-wrote the series as well as served as an executive producer along with Hill and returning Psych producer Chris Henze.

It also stars are Allen Maldonado as Alan Decker, Selene’s estranged husband, and English singer-songwriter Curt Smith as himself.
