8 protestors have been arrested after a gang of protesters stormed the Azerbaijani embassy in London, waiving flags and placing slogans in Arabic on the wall of the embassy instead of the Azerbaijani flag.
Reports say that the protest was led by a group called The Mahdi Servants Union, a Shiite organization which wants to establish ‘civilization dominance’, as mentioned on its website.
Members associated with the group referred to the “persecution” of some Shiite Muslims in the country by the Azerbaijani government.
Disrespect to an Azerbaijani flag is not acceptable! A radical shia group in London at the Azerbaijani Embassy. It is time to ban all radical shias in Azerbaijan. Radical shias are enemies of Islam! #Azerbaijanophobia pic.twitter.com/R3UnWTQVTF

The organization’s leader, Yasser Al-Habib, is a controversial cleric whose film Lady of Heaven was to be pulled from UK cinemas earlier this year after protests from some Sunni Muslims over its interpretation of Islamic history.
Al-Habib, who was granted asylum in the UK after coming into conflict with the authorities in his native Kuwait, runs a mosque in Buckinghamshire.
Azerbaijanis Muslims are mainly Shiite, however, the country is largely secular.
Religious Shiite radicals funded and brainwashed by Islamic Republic of #Iran, seized #Azerbaijan Embassy in #London. Seems like Azerbaijan’s staunch secularism is a thorn in the eye of Islamist radicals.
