Prime Minister Attends Final Training of Egyptian Handball Team

Prime minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly accompanied by Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Major General Khaled Abdel Aal, Governor of Cairo, and Major General Ali Darwish, Director of Cairo International Stadium, visited the covered hall at Cairo Stadium to inspect the latest preparations the hall, which will witness the opening ceremony of the 2021 World Handball Championship.

Egypt will host the prestigious tournament from January 13 to 31. 32 teams will take part in the event.

At the outset of his tour of the covered hall at Cairo Stadium, the Prime Minister affirmed that all state institutions are working together hand in hand for the sake of the success of this championship, which the world is highly anticipating.

Egypt faces a tough task as it must organize the tournament in light of these exceptional circumstances and represented in the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Madbouly pointed out that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, provides great and continuous support to make this championship a success and organize it in record time by coordinating with various state agencies and ministries.

During his inspection tour, Dr. Madbouly checked on the final preparations at the hall, which will host the World Cup competitions.

At the same time, the Minister of Youth and Sports briefed the Prime Minister on the latest final preparations being made for the opening ceremony tomorrow evening, Wednesday; it will include performances to be made for the first time, taking into account the manifestations of Egyptian civilization.
