On Saturday, Egypt's President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi was keen to greet the Egyptian people on the advent of Eid Al-Fitr (Breaking fast feast) through his official Twitter account.

The tweet said, “It pleases me to send my sincere greetings to the great Egyptian people for Eid al-Fitr (Breaking-fast feast), wishing God the Almighty to bless our Islamic and Arab nation.”

“I take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to all those who contribute to laying the foundations to build the Egyptian state.”

Eid Al-Fitr is an Islamic feast Muslims usually gather to celebrate and mark the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting. However, this year, all celebrations are expected to be limited due to the global coronavirus crisis.

Moreover, the Egyptian president phoned the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. During the phone conversation, both leaders discussed a number of regional and international issues of common interests.

“All the Arab and Muslim leaders with whom President Sisi talked yesterday wished the Egyptian people permanent stability and progress,” Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.

President Sisi also expressed his sincere appreciation for the greetings calls that he received and made, wishing all the Arab and Muslim peoples and governments prosperity and all the best.
