Not even a month has passed since the Champions League final, which brought the last season to a close and the clubs of the five major European leagues are strengthening their team ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

Premier League teams have already spent 448.99 million euros on transfers, but the rest of the leagues are not able to match that amount. No one can keep up with the English clubs who are flexing their financial muscle for yet another summer.

Clubs from the top five leagues have invested 1.208 billion euros in signings, with the Premier League teams having spent 37.11 percent of this amount.

A total of 122 signings have been already made, with Serie A clubs spending 284.388m euros (23.53 per cent), followed by Bundesliga teams (218.68m euros, 18.09 percent), LaLiga Santander clubs (141.80m euros, 11.73 percent) and Ligue 1 teams (115.15m euros, 9.52 per cent).

There is still time before the transfer window ends, but, for the times being, the Premier League has the upper hand. At the current rate, English clubs could reach the 1.3 billion euros they spent last season on transfers.
