CAIRO, Jan. 10 (SEE)- The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo affirmed today that America supports Egypt in its war to eradicate terrorism in Sinai, whilst calling upon other allies and partners to do more to confront this ugly reality that threatens the security of all.

In his speech from the American University in Cairo (AUC), an 100-Year-old dual symbol of Egyptian-American collaboration, Secretary Pompeo stressed that his country has always been a liberating force, not an occupying power, in the Middle East.

“We’re all children of Abraham: Christians, Muslims, Jews. In my office, I keep a Bible open on my desk to remind me of God and His Word, and The Truth,” manifested Pompeo.

The high-profile diplomat fired back indirectly at the Obama adminstration condemning how a fellow American has previously addressed people abandoning the Middle East’s rich persity and reckoning on a misjudged terrorism ideology. He exclaimed that the deep relations between Saudi Arabia and Iraq besides Netanyahu’s visit to Oman were once unimaginable.

Secretary Pompeo pointed out that under President Trump, the US learned from its mistakes and reasserted in just 24 months its traditional role as a force for good in the Middle East. “We have rediscovered our voice. We have rebuilt our relationships. We have rejected false overtures from enemies.”

The good news is that such shameful era of ‘self-inflicted’ America is over with its policies that led to needless suffering, as per Mr. Pompeo!

Pompeo quoted Egypt’s Nobel Laureate Naguib Mahfouz saying, “Good is achieving victory every day. It may even be that Evil is weaker than we imagine,” post illustrating America’s  departure from North Africa post partaking in liberating the country from the Nazis, as an example to note that neither Russia nor China would do the same.

Although, Mr. Pompeo’s remarks are tolerable, yet he should had in mind that the Arab public opinion will never accede his adminstration’s policy in backing Israel- an occupier that Arab peoples discard its heinous actions in Palestine.

Meanwhile, the US airstrikes in the region will continue as targets arise. The Trump adminstration’s policy in the region is to support peace negotiations for the sake of Yemen. And, opt for democracy to kick out the last Irani boot from Syrian. In Lebanon, they will work to de-escalate the missile arsenal that can reach all points inside their ally Israel- what about Palestinians who live under bombardment?!

Regarding Iran and its proxies, Secretary Pompeo said that February 11th will mark 40 years since this brutal regime came to power. “The Trump Administration stands with the Iranian people, as they demand new freedoms and accountability they deserve.”

In a nutshell, Pompeo’s speech today was to deliver a clear message, in a beamy way, that the Trump administration aims for a ‘brighter’ Middle East future- through nurturing new diplomatic and economic ties amongst the region’s nations.

Again, what the Trump administration should not neglect is that its proposed wishful outlook on the Mideast should also resolve the Palestinians’ case- who are longing to kick out their occupiers and live in peace!

Mr. Pompeo is on a 9-nation Mideast tour, that comes amid a state of confusion over the foreign policy of the Trump administration after declaring that the US will fully withdraw its troops from Syria before amending it to a gradual withdrawal over the course four month, after a wave of criticism and warnings about the consequences of the resolution.
