PM: Reducing Population Growth Rate Puts Egypt in Another Position

Prime Minister Dr Mostafa Madbouly said on Tuesday that the Egyptian state has a plan to work until 2030 in order to return to high growth rates, explaining that the last quarter of the last fiscal year witnessed a growth rate of 7.7,.

"We continue to work this year and the coming years to confront the main challenges among them the human development and the increasing population growth."

During his speech in the launching ceremony for the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) report on human development in Egypt for 2021, the prime minister added that reducing the population growth rate for a period of 10 to 15 years puts Egypt in another position, explaining that Egypt adopts the green recovery initiative, the Digital transformation , and the mechanization of all services provided by the state through a clear policy and under constant and permanent supervision by President El-Sisi, and in cooperation with all partners.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly noted that President El-Sisi directed the government to study all the recommendations contained in the Human Development Report during the coming period, stressing that Egypt is keen to achieve development for its people.
