PM Madbouli Attends World Men's Handball Championship During Visit to Germany

CAIRO, Jan.11 (SEE)- Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mustapha Medbouli, attended the opening ceremony of the 26th World Handball Championship for Men in Berlin, accompanied by Dr. Ashraf Subhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and in the presence of Ambassador Bader Abdel Ati, Ambassador of Egypt in Berlin.

Dr. Madbouli also attended the opening match between Germany and Korea, which takes place on the covered Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany, in the presence of the German President, in addition to Dr. Hassan Mustafa, President of the International Handball Federation.

The Egyptian team is set to take part in the tournament at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, capital of Denmark, as part of Group D with Sweden, Hungary, Qatar, Argentina and Angola.

The Egyptian delegation, headed by Madbouli, is also expected to promote the upcoming 27th edition of the tournament as part of Egypt's preparations to host the 2021 Men's Handball World Championship.

Regarding the procedures, Dr. Ashraf Subhi held a number of internal and external meetings to support this tournament, especially in light of the political leadership's interest in hosting the major international sporting events.
