While it was preparing to publish the historical debate of the late writer and thinker Faraj Fouda, The Egyptian General Book Authority announced the breach of the official account on YouTube by electronic piracy.

It was scheduled to be published yesterday at 11:00 pm on May 21 on the official channel of GEBO, at the initiative of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, "Stay at home - Culture is in your hands."

It was also announced that the video will be published today at the same time.

Dr. Haitham Al-Haj Ali, head of the Book Authority, declined to make any statement about the matter.

Earlier, it was indicated that the video was required a great effort, in order to convert the video tape-recorded in 1992 at the Cairo International Book Fair.

The reason for killing Fouda:

It is worth noting that the late writer was slain in June 1992 at the hands of the Takfiri elements. He took part in a debate in January of the same year at the Cairo International Book Fair against the Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood at the time, Mamoun al-Hudhaibi.

Why was Faraj Fouda's file opened?

The debate was entitled: Egypt between the Religious State and the Modern Civil State. The case was raised recently after the comment of one of the young actors, "Ahmed Al-Rafei" against the late writer.

Al-Rafei was known after his participation in the series of Al-"Ikhtiar" (Selection), which is currently being presented as part of Ramadan's works for the year 2020. The series motivated concerned personnel to come up with the idea of publishing that debate for the first time.
