The first Syrian plane coming from Beirut International Airport, with a number of passengers on board, arrived today, Friday, at Aleppo International Airport, after the restoration of air traffic at the airport, which was suspended for several months due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

He added that “The Syrian plane arrived from Beirut International Airport and will return from Aleppo Airport to Beirut Airport,” noting the preventive measures were taken at the airport to ensure the safety of travelers from the coronavirus virus.

“The airport's return to work and the resumption of air traffic for neighboring countries contributes to the rotation of the economy wheel and the restoration of the tourist city of Aleppo,” Mansour affirmed.

In the meantime, the Director of the Health Center at Aleppo International Airport, Dr. Salwa Ibrahim, said, “All appropriate measures have been taken to combat the coronavirus, in accordance with the protocol approved by the World Health Organization and the Civil Aviation Organization, whose instructions include conducting thermal examination for travelers and testing the PCR within a period of time. 96 hours.”

A number of passengers arriving on the plane expressed their happiness at the return of the airport traffic to work, which comes after the return of security and safety to the city and its victory over terrorism, according to their statements.
