Russian forces have fired more than 1,200 missiles since the start of the military operation in Ukraine, according to a senior Pentagon official.
Earlier, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that the United States (US) is in talks with other countries to provide Ukraine with "defensive capabilities that include long-range air defenses."
Moreover, the US is negotiating with Slovakia to provide Russian-made "S-300" air defense systems to Ukraine, but no agreement has been announced in this regard so far, according to a number of media reports.
It is worth mentioning that, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said on Wednesday that the US government has officially announced that members of the Russian military have committed war crimes in Ukraine.
