Several reports claimed on Friday that the French midfielder Paul Pogba could join his former club Juventus after Man Utd's exit.

"Paul Pogba and Manchester United have parted ways again, with both parties confirming that the Frenchman will not be at Old Trafford next season. But where will he play," Marce reported.

"Former club Juventus are one of the favourites to land Pogba, looking to bring him back to Serie A. The Guardian are reporting that Italy's Old Lady are offering him eight million euros a season to join."

"Paris Saint-Germain are also thought to be interested," it concluded.

On Wednesday, Manchester United have announced Paul Pogba will leave Old Trafford on a free transfer for a second time at the expiry of his contract later this month.

The midfielder, 29, initially spent three years with the Red Devils as a youngster between 2009 and 2012 before joining Juventus for no fee. He then returned to United after a trophy-laden stint in Italy by completing a club-record £89million transfer in 2016, going on to make 226 appearances during his second stint with the club.

The France international was a key member of the team under former manager Jose Mourinho and won the double of the EFL Cup and Europa League during his first season back in England. However, he struggled to nail down a role under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick, with injuries increasingly impacting his minutes towards the end of his second spell in the Premier League.
