Parliament Speaker Heads to Australia

Egypt's Parliament Speaker Hanafi Gibali headed, earlier Sunday, to Australia in an official visit. 

During his visit, Gabali will take part in the 5th conference for the world's parliamentary speakers and the 1st international parliamentary summit on fighting terrorism set for 5 and 10 September in Vienna.

This visit is an important opportunity to exchange views on international and regional issues as well as recent challenges and to present Egyptian visions regarding these issues, in a manner that serves the vital Egyptian interests.

The conference of speakers is an international parliamentary mechanism launched in New York in 2000 when they first met and issued the Millennium Declaration in cooperation with the United Nations (UN).
