Speaker of the House of Representatives Dr. Hanafi Jabali, received in his office - this morning - Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, in the presence of deputy Speakers Ahmed Saad Eddin, and Mohamed Aboul Enein.
The Secretary General of the Arab League congratulated Dr. Hanafi Jabali, on his election as the Speaker of Parliament, wishing him success in his duties to serve the country, especially at that stage in which the Egyptian state is witnessing a developmental boom in all fields, under the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, stressing the importance of the role that Arab parliamentary diplomacy plays to promote joint Arab action and support Arab causes.
On his part, Dr. Jabali stressed the Egyptian Parliament's support for the efforts of the League of Arab States to preserve Arab national interests and defend Arab issues, pointing out, in this regard, that the Egyptian state with all its institutions under the leadership of President Sisi, spares no effort to support Arab issues and positions at all levels.
The meeting also addressed the developments in the situation in the Arab world, especially in light of the challenges facing our Arab region.
