Pandemic Movie "Songbird" Gets Release Date

Coronavirus pandemic thriller movie "Songbird", will skip theatrical debut and head for Premium video on demand (PVOD) release.

The movie is set to debut on December 11 on all PVOD platforms for a home entertainment run, which will be streamed, later on, via a yet-to-be-announced service.

"Songbird" was the first movie to be filmed in Los Angeles during the pandemic.

The plot takes place in 2024, where COVID-23, wreaks havoc on the world by attacking the brain. The Infected are forced into quarantine camps know by Q-Zones, which some fight back against these brutal restrictions.

It also centers around a love story between a motorbike courier named Nico (K.J. Apa) who has rare immunity, and Sara (Sofia Carson), a young artist who is believed to be infected.

"Songbird" also stars Demi Moore, Craig Robinson, Bradley Whitford, Peter Stormare, Alexandra Daddario, and Paul Walter Hauser.

The movie is directed by Adam Mason, written by Simon Boyes and Adam Mason. It is produced by Michael Bay, Adam Goodman, Andrew Sugerman, and Eben Davidson.
