Palestinians in all governorates of the West Bank and areas behind the Green Line have decided to declare today, Tuesday, a general strike that includes all walks of life.

They affirmed that this strike protests the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, Al-Quds (known in Western and Israeli sources as Jerusalem).

Organizers of the general strike said that it comes as a sign of solidarity with martyrs and wounded people in the Strip.

The strike includes all walks of life in private and public institutions, banks, and means of transport, schools, and universities.

The Leadership of the Islamic and national forces calls for the comprehensive strike across the Palestinian territories, refugee camps in Palestine, and abroad today.

They urge the Palestinian to participate widely in public and national events and head for points on convergence with Israel at 1 P.M.

It is worth noting that the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) called yesterday, Monday, the Palestinians in cities of the West Bank for a comprehensive strike and clash with the Israeli forces at the points of convergence.

On the other hand, the Arab Higher Committee for Follow-up urged on Sunday the Arab communities behind the Green Line to go to the general strike on Tuesday.

The committee held a meeting in Jaffa the day before yesterday and issued a statement that said the strike came as a response to the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. Al-Quds, Sheik Jarrah, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The committee calls for a peaceful strike.

A number of mixed Arab-Jews cities and towns behind the Green Line are witnessing violent clashes that left a Palestinian killed and hundreds wounded.

However, the Palestinian Ministry of Health mentioned that 188 Palestinians, among them 55 children and 33 women, were martyred and more than six thousand wounded,  in the Gaza Strip since the outbreak of confrontations in the Strip before nine days.

The Israeli authorities announced that ten Israelis were killed in recent clashes with Palestinians.
