Representatives of Palestinian factions, including Fatah and Hamas, on Tuesday jointly pledged to end their divisions and strengthen Palestinian unity by signing Beijing Declaration, (CGTN) reported.
CGTN said that senior representatives of the Palestinian political factions, Fatah and Hamas, signed a joint statement aimed at ending divisions and building Palestinian unity.
Chinese state media hailed the agreement signed by 14 Palestinian factions as a breakthrough and a sign of China's emerging role as a mediator in far-flung conflicts.
Initial reports did not immediately reveal details of what it called the “Beijing Declaration” or the full list of Palestinian leaders who participated in the negotiations hosted by Wang Yi, the Chinese Foreign Minister.
