Palestine Cultural Counselor: Our Students Study Medicine, Eng., Pharmacy in Egypt

Dr. Mohamed Khaled, the Cultural Counselor at the Palestinian Embassy in Cairo, explained that the Palestinian students in Egyptian universities are studying in engineering, medicine, dentistry and pharmacy faculties

Dr. Khaled also said that the number of Palestinian students in Egypt this year has increased compared to previous years. He thanked the expatriate administration in the ministry for providing all support means to Palestinian students.

This came during a meeting with Dr. Khaled Abd El Ghaffar the Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister, Dr. Mahmoud Abu Mowais, the Palestinian Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister, Dr. Mohammed Khaled, Cultural Counselor at the Palestinian Embassy in Cairo, and Muammar El-Shitawi the Quality Officer at the Palestinian Ministry.

Abd El-Ghaffar confirmed that Egypt's keenness to support the brothers in Palestine and enhance the cooperation prospects, especially in the higher education field, in addition to the ministry's readiness to overcome all the difficulties and problems facing Palestinian students in Egyptian universities.

On other hand, both sides discussed mechanisms of enhancing cooperation in the higher education field and the possibility of increasing scholarships offered to Palestinian students to study in Egyptian universities and facilitating procedures for them.

Also, the Palestinian Minister praised Egypt's pioneering role in the region by providing support to the Palestinian people in all fields, reviewing the mechanisms of developing the education system in Palestine, which is based on the selection of scientific disciplines that meet the needs of the labor market.

Furthermore, he lauded the Egyptian expertise, especially in the areas of quality, institutional and program accreditation, mechanisms for evaluating scientific journals and researchers, as well as the use of Egyptian arbitrators in competitive research and scientific programs due to the research centers establishment.
