Liverpool star Mohamed Salah asserted on Friday the importance of the Reds' upcoming Premier League clash against Manchester United.

Liverpool are looking forward to maintaining their unbeaten start to the Premier League season when they will host the Red Devils on Sunday at Anfield at 18:30 CLT.

In an interview with the Premier League Productions at Melwood, Salah stressed that he and his teammates focus now on Man Utd's clash.

“Our focus now is just on the Manchester United game, we take one game at a time,” the Egyptian star said.

He talked about the Reds' ambition to maintain their unbeaten start to the season, but he asserted that their main aim is to claim the Premier League trophy.

“We don’t think about being unbeaten until the end of the season. If we do that, it would be great, but at the end of the day, we just want to win the Premier League. That’s the most important thing," the 27-year-old Egyptian star noted.

Mo Salah said that he and his teammates know very well that the United clash is very important to the Reds' supporters, but he affirmed that the Uefa Champions League champions eye the victory in this game.

“Of course we know it’s big for the fans, for the city and for us. But at the end of the day, we play the game to win. It’s unbelievable.”

The iconic Egyptian star netted fourteen goals in all the competitions with the Reds during this season. Noteworthy, Salah failed to score any goal against Man Utd either when he was in Chelsea or Liverpool.
