On WYF Sidelines, Sisi Inspects King Salman Univ.

On the sidelines of the World Youth Forum, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi visited the King Salman International University branch in Sharm El Sheikh on Saturday, according to Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

Sisi inspected the buildings in the company of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and ministers of Defense and Military Production and Higher Education and Scientific Research and the governor of South Sinai.

Rady stated that Sisi was briefed on the executive position of the establishment of the university and its branches, which started its work in July 2017, and is scheduled to end in March 2020.

“President Sisi also inspected the total installations of King Salman University in its branch in Sharm El-Sheikh on an area of ​​about 35 acres,” Rady added.

The university includes four colleges, which are Alsun and Applied Languages, Tourism and Hospitality, Architecture and Arts and Design.

The president also inspected a number of administrative, sports, service and residential buildings.

World Youth Forum

King Salman International University is pided into three branches in the South Sinai Governorate in the cities of Al-Tor, Sharm el-Sheikh and Ras Sidr, and includes in its first phase a total of ten colleges.

It’s that more five colleges will be added to the university in a future stage, including the Faculty of Human Medicine and a university hospital in the main University branch in Al-Tor City.

Sisi headed for Sharm El Sheikh on Friday where the third edition of the World Youth Forum is set to kick off later on Saturday.

President Sisi is opening the World Youth Forum within a few hours with participation of six heads of state.

World Youth Forum

The third edition of the World Youth Forum is set to mainly discuss the sources of energy in the Mediterranean, food security in Africa, climate change, international security and fighting terrorism.

The WYF2019 is expected to be attended by around 7,000 youths representing different countries.

The opening session kicks off at 7:00 pm (CLT) and will last for nearly two hours; declaring the official launching of the big event.

Witness the world youth send a message of peace, prosperity, harmony, persity and progress to the entire world,” tweeted the official account of the forum Saturday morning.
