Omar Khairat to Stage Concerts in July

Veteran musician Omar Khairat will hold live concerts in Cairo this summer, including two at the Cairo Opera House on 2 , 3 July.

Khairat is considered one of the most outstanding composers presenting successful works such as: “El-‘Arrafa wal-‘Otour El-Saahera, the Fortune-Teller, Magic Perfumes and the ”Arab Rhapsody”.

According to music critics, Khairat’s music bridges contemporary Arab and Western music reflecting genuine maturity.

Khairat was a member of Egyptian band Les Petits Chats, founded in 1967. They presented Italian, French and English songs. The band was immensely popular in the late 1960s and the early 1970s.

He regularly performed at the Cairo Opera House and all the Egyptian and Arab ceremonies during the last fifteen years.
