On Monday, Oman's Ambassador to Egypt Abdullah bin Nasser praised Egypt’s role in ending the crisis of the stranded container ship blocking the Suez Canal.

In a statement, the Ambassador expressed congratulations to Egypt for ending the crisis of the stranded container ship blocking the canal for nearly a week and had caused a major economic crisis for all the countries of the world.

"The Egyptian government has proved its ability to successfully deal with crises," he tweeted.

Despite the time pressure to complete this operation was evident and unprecedented, the Egyptian government and people successfully silenced doubts about the ability of the country to deal with crises, according to the Ambassador.

Lately, traffic has resumed in the Canal after a stranded container ship blocking it for nearly a week was finally freed by salvage crews.

According to domestic and international reports, tug boats honked their horns in celebration as the 400m-long (1,300ft) Ever Given ship was dislodged on Monday with the help of dredgers.

It's worth noting that hundreds of ships are waiting to pass through the canal which links the Mediterranean to the Red Sea.
