Al-Ahly SC and Egypt's goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy will officially miss the much-anticipated Cairo Derby match between Al-Ahly and El-Zamalek football teams, after retesting positive for COVID-19.
El-Shenawy will be replaced by the second-choice goalkeeper Ali Lotfi.
The game is considered the first Cairo derby of the 2020/2021 season. The fierce league clash was scheduled to take place in the fourth round of the League Championship.
It is worth mentioning that, the White Knights are currently topping the Egyptian Premier League table with 33 points from 14 games, while Al Ahly comes in fourth place with 27 points.
