Al Jazira have officially announced on Tuesday signing Moroccan international Ashraf Bencharki on a free transfer during the summer transfer window.
The UAE Pro League side just posted a tweet on their official page, revealing that Bencharki becomes a player for the Pride of Abu Dhabi without revealing any details about the deal.
The Moroccan international will wear kit number 22 in the new season after he left Zamalek.
Bencharki left the White Knights after expiring his contract with the Egyptian Premier League leaders as he managed to lead Zamalek to claim the Egypt Cup title in his last game against Al Ahly.
Moroccan outlet “le360” had reported that Bencharki’s salary in the first season reaches EGP a million and 600,000 dollars, plus 100,000 dollars in the second and third seasons as the deal worth up to EGP 5 million and 100,000 dollars.
Bencharki played 109 matches with Zamalek, having scoring 41 goals, and producing 28 assists.
He claimed five titles with Zamalek in his three-year stay at the White Knights, including an Egyptian League title, two Egypt Cup trophies, An Egyptian Super Cup title, as well as, a CAF Super Cup title.
