Official Says 47 Million Citizens Vaccinated against COVID-19

Health Ministry spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said that the total of vaccinations against the COVID-19 has reached to 47 million doses, so far between first and second doses.

 

In televised remarks, Abdel Ghaffar added that the COVID-19 vaccine has no side effects.

 

Concerning the vaccination of children aged 5 to 12, the spokesman added that about 500,000 children have registered their names to receive the coronavirus vaccines so far.

 

On Monday, Egypt reported 871 new coronavirus cases, 43 deaths, and 951 recoveries, according to a daily briefing issued by the country’s Ministry of Health and Population.

 

It added that a total of  364,033 cases have been reported in Egypt, with 20,770 deaths and 302,259  recoveries.
