Norway's King Harald V tested positive for Coronavirus on Tuesday, international media agencies cited Royal officials.
The 85-year-old monarch is suffering from mild symptoms according to the Royal sources said.
King Harald will have a break from all his duties, in addition, his son, the crown prince of the kingdom, Prince Haakon, will take over his father's responsibilities for the upcoming days.
Norway's ruler received the three COVID-19 vaccine shots.
The king recently had several medical complications and underwent surgery in 2020.
His duties are ceremonial, as he holds no actual political power in his hands since he inherited the throne in 1991.
He is the country’s first native-born king since the 14th century.
