The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) in Fustat received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Nikola Selaković alongside the Director of the Middle East Department at the Serbian Foreign Ministry Miroslav Estovian and Serbian Ambassador to Egypt Suzana Bošković.

Ms. Fairouz Fikri, Executive Vice President of the Museum administration department, was present at the Museum to welcome the Serbian high-ranked delegation upon arrival.

Commenting on this visit, she explained that NMEC continues to receive a number of foreign public figures and ambassadors, who are keen to visit it to see the history of Egyptian civilization through the ages, and the royal mummies received by the museum in early April.

The Serbian Foreign Minister toured the museum and expressed his fascination with the royal mummies and other artifacts displayed in the museum, which tell the story of Egyptian civilization through different historical eras.

Meanwhile, a Serbian media channel conducted an interview with Selaković in which he urged the people of Serbia to visit Egypt and its different stunning attractions and incredible destinations.

After that, he was keen to write down words of praise on the museum book to express his gratitude to the Egyptian authorities for their hospitality, and he also wrote down everything he felt during his visit.

“I certainly hope to visit Egypt again in the near future to try to figure it all out,” Selaković said.
