Hulu has renewed Nicole Kidman's limited series "Nine Perfect Strangers" for a second season.

It premiered in August 2021 and was based on the book of the same name by author Liane Moriarty.

Kidman led the first season as Masha, the mysterious and charismatic founder of the vacation resort Tranquillum House.

The series also starred Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Samara Weaving, Asher Keddie, Melvin Gregg, Grace Van Patten, Regina Hall, Bobby Cannavale Manny Jacinto, and Zoe Terakes.

The first season was directed by Jonathan Levine with David E. Kelley penning several episodes and serving as a creator of the series.

"Nine Perfect Strangers" is centered around nine strangers from the city who gather for a 10-day retreat at Tranquillum House, a health and wellness resort in the fictional town of Cabrillo, California.

However, the resort is not what it seems to be.

Hulu has been making big strides in original series in competition with Netflix, with shows like "Dopesick", "Pam & Tommy", and "The Dropout".

There is currently no release date for "Nine Perfect Strangers" Season 2.
