Nigerian Women Arrested for Insulting Saudis on Social Media (VIDEO)

The Mecca Police announced the arrest of a woman who "offended" the residents of one of the Kingdom's regions, "with words contrary to public morals."

The Police said in a statement posted on Twitter: "A reference to the video clip circulating on a social networking site of a woman who offends the residents of one of the regions with words that are contrary to public morals, the competent authorities were able to identify her."

The statement added that the woman "residing in the second decade of life of Nigerian nationality," noting that "the preliminary inference procedures have been completed and referred to the Public Prosecution Branch."

The Saudi Ministry of Interior broadcast, through its account on the “Snapchat” platform, a clip of the accused, while her voice and face were withheld, without revealing the content of the video and the abuse it included or the area in which the accused insulted its residents.
