Neymar Officially Returns to Brazil's Santos

On Tuesday, the President of Brazilian club Santos Marcelo Teixeira announced the official signing of Neymar during the current winter transfer window, following the termination of his contract with the Saudi Al-Hilal.

Teixeira announced the news via a video shared on his personal Instagram page, in which he warmly welcomed Neymar back to his old team. 

In the video, Teixeira said: "I remember, as if it were yesterday, when our eternal captain Zito came with Alemão to tell me about another star discovered by the beloved and late Betinho. His name was Neymar—a unique name, just like his talent. What a talent it was."

Teixeira continued: "It was a privilege to see this boy grow up and become the genius who conquered Santos, Brazil, and the world." 

He added, "You, Neymar, left Vila Belmiro to chase your dreams, but you left behind a promise we never forgot: ‘I’ll leave, but I’ll come back.’ Do you remember? I’m sure those words stayed with you all this time."

"The time has come, Neymar. The time has come for you to return to your people, to your home, to our beloved club. Welcome back, boy Nay! The boy from the village! Come and find happiness once again with the sacred jersey." He concluded by saying that the Santos nation is waiting for Neymar with open arms.
