Neymar Injured as Brazil Draw 1-1 with Nigeria at Singapore

Neymar suffered yet another injury 12 minutes into Brazil's 1-1 draw with Nigeria in a friendly in Singapore on Sunday. The Paris Saint-Germain forward, making his 101st appearance for the national team was replaced Philippe Coutinho after suffering a hamstring injury early on.

A team spokesman said Neymar "felt discomfort" in his left thigh and would be examined by PSG doctors once he was back in France. The draw extended Brazil win drought to four games, the last being a 1-1 draw against Senegal.

The Africans opened the scoring after 35 minutes when Joe Aribo found space in a packed penalty box to fire in a low shot into Brazil's goal.

Brazil equalized three minutes into the second half when Casemiro fired home from close range after reacting quickly to a Marquinhos header that rebounded off the post.

On the other hand, Russia booked their place in next year's European Championship finals with an easy 5-0  win over 10-man Cyprus in Nicosia on Sunday.

Russia are the third team to qualify for the 24-team tournament, following Group I rivals Belgium and Italy from Group J. The Russians only needed a point to ensure a top-two finish and qualification but an early strike from Denis Cheryshev set them on their way to a their seventh victory in eight qualification games

Russia are second in the group behind Belgium, who have won all eight of their qualifiers. Russia will meet Belgium in St Petersburg on Nov. 16.
