Russia’s Ministry of Health has announced that the new strain of the Coronavirus (known also as COVID-19), is called “Hidden Omicron.”

According to virologists, those who catch the new strain lose smelling sense.

Many infections were detected in both Germany and China, and the suggested cause is immigrants who do not have sufficient immunity against the disease.

Michael Murashko, Minister of Health in Russia, said that due to high rates of infection, the sub-clan BA 2 has a chance to become the prevailing strain all over the world in near future.

More infections have been also reported in Germany in the last few days.

On the other hand, China decided last Monday to shut down tens of cities across the country to prevent the outbreak of the new strain of Omicron, BA2.

Li Jin Ming, Vice-Director of the National Center of Clinical Labs under the National Committee for Health, explained that quarantine includes those who were isolated in houses, those who came from other foreign countries.

Those people must stay home for five days in a row to be checked under COVID-19.

Anyone who has no trace of the deadly virus will leave quarantine soon.
