Netflix dropped Tuesday the teaser for the live adaptation of the 1998 Japanese anime series “Cowboy Bebop”, which is set to premiere on November 19.

The series stars John Cho, Mustafa Shakir, Danielle Pineda, Alex Hassell, and Elena Satine.

The reboot is an outer space-set western centered around a team of bounty hunters led by Spike Spiegel (Cho), Jet Black (Shakir), and Faye Valentine (Pineda) who hunt down criminals throughout the solar system while trying to escape their dark pasts.

The footage, entitled "Cowboy Bebop: The Lost Session", features Spiegel, Black, and Valentine as they set out to hunt down a bounty.

The “Cowboy Bebop” reboot was first announced in 2017 and picked up by the streamer in 2018.

The original anime was a major commercial and critical success despite the entire series consisting of just 26 episodes.

It has inspired two manga series and an anime movie, the latter of which was released in the U.S. in 2003.

André Nemec will serve as showrunner, and executive producer on behalf of Midnight Studios along with Jeff Pinkner, Josh Appelbaum, and Scott Rosenberg.

“Cowboy Bebop” will also be executive produced by Tim Coddington, Tetsu Fujimura, Michael Katleman, Matthew Weinberg, and Christopher Yost, as well as Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements of Tomorrow Studios and Makoto Asanuma, Shin Sasaki, and Masayuki Ozaki of Sunrise Inc.

Shinichirō Watanabe, director of the original anime, will serve as a consultant on the series, which also sees original composer Yoko Kanno returning for the live-action adaptation.
