Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused Iran of planning attacks against Israel, saying he would do everything possible to prevent this.

During his visit to a military base in the occupied Golan, Netanyahu said: “Iranian aggression in the region continues, especially against us."

"We are taking the necessary measures to prevent Iran from establishing its presence in our region, including the activity necessary to prevent the transfer of deadly weapons from Iran to Syria, whether by air or land," he continued. "We will also take the action to foil Iran's efforts to turn Iraq and Yemen into bases for firing rockets at Israel."

The occupied territories were fired by four missiles from Syria, intercepted by the Iron Dome.  Israel accused Iran of carrying out the attack.

On Thursday, Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit announced he had charged Netanyahu with bribery, fraud, and breach of trust, prompting speculation that the end of the premier's decade-long tenure was nigh.

It is worth mentioning that, protests erupted in Iran 10 days ago, hours after it was announced the price of petrol would rise to 15,000 rials a liter (12 US cents) from 10,000 for the first 60 liters and to 30,000 rials for any extra fuel bought after that each month.

Pompeo said in response to the demonstrations that have been erupted in Iran“the US is with you”.

Iran has denounced the US support for protests recently staged in the country by a group of rioters, accusing Washington of interfering in its internal affairs.
