Nesma Abd El Aziz to Perform Concert on Oct. 24

Marimba player Nesma Abd El Aziz will perform at Cairo Opera House on October 24. Abd El Aziz has dazzled audiences worldwide with her combination of classical and contemporary music, bringing together a unique blend of western and Arab instruments to create a whole new genre.

She is considered as one of the contemporary music icons, as she is the first marimba player in Egypt. She participated in numerous concerts in Cairo Opera House such as Omar Khairat concerts.

The artist is the 1st Egyptian musician that has three musical video clips in which she is playing marimba and percussions. She performed several concerts in Egypt, Italy, Spain, Germany, India, Austria, Lebanon, USA, Switzerland, Dubai, Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar and France. In addition, she participated in the Egyptian Festival in Canada 2007, 2008.

Later, Abd El-Aziz and her ensemble held a concert at the Damanhour Opera House, on Friday 23 August. The concert was part of the Summer Festival organised by the Cairo Opera House.

Having her debut in 2001, Abd El Aziz founded her ensemble and released music pieces like "Marimba Fusion," and "Tico, Tico". In October 2015, she participated in a celebration presented by the Tourism Promotion Authority to support tourism in Egypt. The event took place at Abu Simbel, Aswan.
