Nelly Karim to Collab with Karim Abdel Aziz

On Monday, Egyptian actress, Nelly Karim took to Instagram to tease her fans with a new mysterious project with actor, Karim Abdel Aziz.

"Coming soon," Karim wrote.

In 2019, the duo starred in the second part of the movie “El Feel El Azraq” (The Blue Elephant).

The Blue Elephant is one of the highest-grossing Egyptian films in the last 10 years. The film grossed more than EGP 35 million, and 1.2 million tickets were sold during the 'Eid Al Adha' season in 2014, achieving wide acclaim.

It received a rating of 8.6 on IMDb with more than 21,000 votes by users, making it the highest-rated Arabic film on IMDb. The film is still one of the most-watched films on TV and VOID platforms.

Director Marwan Hamed adapted writer Ahmed Mourad’s best-selling book The Blue Elephant that was released in 2012. The novel was shortlisted for the International Prize for Arabic Fiction (IPAF) in 2014.

The collaboration comes in conjunction with actor Karim Fahmy opted not to star in the actress's new TV series "Tabaa Al Hayat", which is being produced under a temporary name.

The series is scheduled to be screened in Ramadan 2021 drama marathon, which is written by Amr El Daly, directed by Ahmed Khaled, and produced by Al Adl Group and United Media Services Company.

On the other hand, Abdel Aziz is set to participate in Ramadan with TV series "El Ekhteyar II".
