NEA Announces Hotline for Receiving Voters' Complaints

Counselor Lashin Ibrahim, head of the National Elections Authority (NEA) said on Saturday that the citizens' voting in parliamentary elections is a 'right' and a 'duty'.

In televised statements to the "Ala Masaolity" talk show, Ibrahim stressed that the voters' participation in the only guarantee for the transparency of the electoral process.

Moreover, he added that the number of polling stations reaches 10,240 in 14 governorates supervised by 12,000 judges, adding that almost 4,000 inpidual candidates and eight coalition lists are competing over 568 seats in this election.

"NEA forms an operations room and announces a hotline number "19826" for receiving voters' complaints throughout the two-day parliamentary elections," NEA head stressed.

It is worth mentioning that, the first stage of the parliamentary elections kicked off earlier today, Saturday, across all Egyptian governorates.

The NEA coordinates with the concerned government agencies to secure the election process.

Police forces are deployed in the streets, while the Interior Ministry raised the level of preparedness to secure the election process.

The re-runs of the first stage will be held for Egyptians abroad from November 21 to 23 and in Egypt on November 24 and 25.
