Minister of Investment Sahar Nasr accompanied on Thursday a US delegation including senators and congressmen from the state of South Carolina on a tour to the New Administrative Capital.

This came within the framework of efforts to publicize major national projects that are being implemented through organizing visits for foreign delegations to get a realistic view of the achievements and prospects of development in Egypt and investment opportunities in the country.

The minister affirmed the stable and deeply-rooted strategic and economic partnership between Egypt and the US, praising the US delegation efforts in fostering the cooperation between the two countries.

Nasr added that the Egyptian state strives to attract Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) to invest in the country's national projects, creating jobs for youth and women.

At the end of the tour, the delegation asserted the US keenness on pumping further investments into Egypt especially after the recent legislative reforms.

Nasr mentioned earlier that Egypt’s share of Foreign direct investment (FDI) has increased by more than 40 percent after implementing new bills that serve as a safety net for investors.
