The National Authority for Remote Sensing & Space Sciences (NARSS) has succeeded in implementing the Egyptian space program in goes in coherence with state’s plan for sustainable development (Egypt Vision 2030).

An Egyptian-made satellite was manufactured through a program named” the National Coalition for Knowledge and Technology at Space field. The program was funded by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced that the space program started in July 2017.

Ten research and industrial local parties took part in the program which aims to launch a number of Egyptian-made satellites through cooperation between various institutions of the state.

A team of the (NARSS) comprising 23 engineers have succeeded in designing, manufacturing and testing the Egyptian satellite in laboratories of the authority. The satellite costs EGP 1.4 million.

Last Thursday, a Falcon 9 rocket launched from Cape Canaveral space base in the USA.

CRS space capsule contains 2.5 tons of fuel.

Egyptian scientists called that   satellite named NARSSCube-2.

The Egyptian satellite  sent to the space to bolster capabilities of the space national program.

Egypt will be enabled to acquire advanced technical know-how that participates in achieving targets of the sustainable development.

The second Egyptian satellite will be launched by next September.

The Egyptian researchers made the satellite including more advanced technologies and higher storage abilities.

Experts conducted the new satellite under strict tests in a Japanese university through a special treaty to regulate scientific cooperation between Egypt and Japan in research industries.

The two Egyptian satellites are considered as a wide step. They were designed and manufactured by national experts without any foreign experience.

National experts are working now to carry out the third Egyptian satellite  NARSSCUB-3 by the fourth quarters of the current year. The satellite will be sent to the outer space by the second quarter ( Q2)  of 2020.
