Nabila Makram, Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, Thursday, extended sincere congratulations to Dr. Ragab Ragab, being awarded the title of president of International Commission on Irrigation & Drainage (ICID).
On her part, Makram wished Ragab further progress and advancement in his scientific career, adding that the motto "Egypt Can" is proved every day with every achievement, represented by Egyptian scholars abroad, as they always raise the nation's name high in the most important international forums.
Ragab is an Egyptian scientist at The UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, and one of the pioneers of "Egypt Can by sons of the Nile" conference.
Ragab has great scientific experience with a number of universities and research centers, as well as extensive field experience following the implementation of many projects in North Africa, Europe, the Middle East, the Mediterranean and India.
Among these projects , there are the Biotechnology Science Project, Wastewater treatment and reuse, and SWUP-MED (Sustainable water use securing food production in dry areas of the Mediterranean region).
He also participated in a project, in which he studied climate change threats to soil in England, in addition to his constructive participation in "Egypt Can by sons of the Nile" conference, held by the Ministry of Immigration in Luxor in February 2018.
