Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane believes their recent slump in form is down to recent injuries in the squad.
The Red Devils played out a frustrating goalless draw against eighth-placed Bank Al Ahly in the Egyptian Premier League on Wednesday.
“What distinguishes us from other teams is we are required to win everything,” Mosimane said after the game.
“We spent seven hours travelling from Algeria to Cairo and arrived in the morning. We only had one day to prepare for the match and play against an opponent who had plenty of time to prepare.
“Ali Maaloul is not fully fit, and the midfielders are injured. During the game, we lost [Mohamed] El-Shenawy and Taher [Mohamed] told me that he could not continue.
