Today, Monday, the Moroccan authorities announced the dismantling of a terrorist cell in Tangiers, north, and arrested 4 people after shooting bullets into the air to warn the terrorists.

Bouaker Speck, the spokesperson for the General Directorate of National Land Monitoring (Civil Intelligence in Morocco), revealed that the cell members were preparing to implement terrorist attacks, relying on inpidual methods and techniques to do so.

Speaking in a press conference held today, Speck said that the initial investigations indicated that the members of the cell were unable to join their comrades in trouble spots in the Sahel and Sahara, so they decided later to engage in local terrorist operations.

He added that the cell follows the method of "ISIS" organization in its traditional Syrian and Iraqi strongholds.

According to the available data, this terrorist cell consists of four people, between the ages of 23 and 26, operating in Tangiers, in northern Morocco.

In the same context, a statement issued by the Central Office for Judicial Research stated that the staff of the Rapid Intervention Group simultaneously stormed 4 sites in the “Awama” neighborhood in Tangiers, and were forced to fire warning shots in a precautionary manner and arrested the main suspect and 3 members of this terrorist cell.
