A state of controversy was sparked after the Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan announced details of his new concert in Morocco, which is scheduled to take place next December.

Ramadan’s announcement of the concert caused a great deal of controversy, as a large number of the Moroccan audience decided to launch a hashtag entitled “We do not want Mohamed Ramadan in Morocco.”

The Moroccan public considered that the hashtag was a strong response to the ban on Saad Lamjarred from singing in a large concert earlier in Egypt after he was accused of sexual harassment in France. Lamjarred episode with Actor and TV presented Amir Karara was also banned on Egyptian television after the incident.

The strange thing is that the Moroccan audience linked the two stars together, as they presented together a song called Forget Me “Ansai”, which reached great success immediately after its release.

It is also strange that Mohamed Ramadan is still promoting his concert, which is scheduled to take place in Marrakesh next December.

Egypt is known in the Arab world as the "Hollywood of the East", and its artists are followed throughout the region. Morocco is also famous for oriental music, especially Lamjarred, whose music has become famous all over the world.

The hashtag is considered by many as a reaction to the hashtag that was launched for the Moroccan singer in Egypt, but if Ramadan's concert did not get canceled, the tensions will disappear and the hashtag war will end.
