Egyptian actor Mohamed Ramadan is set to star in the film “Ala Zero”.

In an interview with "Sky News Arabia", Ramadan announced that the principal photography is slated to begin next week.

The film is scripted by Medhat El Adl, directed by Mando El Adl, and produced by El Adl Group.

It features various genres including drama, action, and romance. The project marks Ramadan's comeback to the big screen after three years of absence. He made his last cinematic appearance in the 2019 film “El Kenz 2”.

Ramadan disclosed the reason behind his absence was the coronavirus outbreak, noting: "I preferred to be present during this period with drama and met my audience through soap operas, and after the crisis is finished, I would return to them with my new film."

On the other hand, Ramadan is collaborating with director Mohamed Sami in the TV series “El Omda”, which is set to screen in Ramadan 2023 drama marathon.

The series is scripted and directed by Sami.

“El Omda” marks Ramadan and Sami’s fourth collaboration after the 2020 TV series “Al Prince”, the 2016 TV series “Al-Ostora”, and the 2017 film “Jawab E’teqal”.

The actor participated last Ramadan with the TV series “Al Meshwar”.

The series also starred Dina El Sherbiny, Nada Moussa, Ahmed Magdy, Sabry Fawwaz, Sayed Ragab, and others.

It was penned by Mohamad Farid and directed by Mohamed Yassin.
